Susan Manson

I have been creating since I was a child, my grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 7 and that started a life long passion for fibre crafting.

I am a bit of a magpie collecting fabrics, fibres and snippets of ideas, creating something new and wonderful from them.
I also repurpose fabrics, knits and vintage woollen blankets, taking fabrics with a history (which are often very nostalgic for people) giving them a new story to tell.  I really enjoy the design and development of a small idea, making it, tweaking it and re-making it until it satisfies me.
I am based in Wanaka, in the southern lakes area of New Zealand, it is a beautiful place to live and create.  The colours of the area are often reflected in my work.
