Brendon Leung

Brendon Leung is a contemporary Chinese painter, best known for exploring the correlations between abstraction with eastern philosophical ideas. Influenced by nature, space and the human condition, the works feature pared-back paintings made with unconventional materials and soft forms of ceramics. The artist concentrates on ideas of imperfection, impermanence and atmospheric qualities of the material to evoke momentary states of awareness within the viewer and the physical space itself. Born in 1994 in Auckland, New Zealand, the artist is currently pursuing his Master of Design at Unitec Institute of Technology.
